Sweetwood Brothers were an regular at the Beggars Banquet although
there was some concern that they played mostly cover tunes. When
"Little brother Johnny" Sepeda left, Jimmy changed
the group's name to Jumbo and they recorded two songs on 45,
Thunder Thighs and Silver Bay as well as some other tunes. This old photo is one my husband, Steve "T-Bone" Bland (on double base drum kit). Besides playing for melodrama theater, and Clearfolk, T-Bone has played with Daryl Dugosh, Frenchie Burke, Jimmy Mac Band, Kenny Dale, Borderline and Oh So Good! and Bobby Beal's All Pro Jam, and continues to work as a Second-man on any occassion. |
